Mrs. Jacob Lee Died Early Today; Cambridge Pioneer
Cambridge, Feb. 20--Mrs. Cordelia Lee, 79, widow of the late Jacob Lee, died a the home of her daughter Mrs. Charles Barrow at Madrid at 1 a. m. today, after two weeks illness, death being due to complications incident to old age.
The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church in Cambridge, with Rev. Peder Buland, her longtime friend and pastor in charge of the service. Burial will be in the Cambridge cemetery by the side of her husband who died 10 years ago.
Mrs. Lee, whose maiden name was Cordelia Macy was born in this community and lived in or near Cambridge her entire life, with the exception of later years when she had lived with her children.
Mother of eleven children, she leaves eight to mourn her passing. The children are Mrs. Barrow of Madrid, at whose home she died; Mrs. Charles Wyeth, Mrs. Earnie Rabenstein, Mrs. Fan Pigeon, Mrs. Carl Younger and Mrs. Robert Penny all of Omaha; and the two sons Ethwell Lee of Ames and John Lee of Cambridge.
