Mrs. Lydia Tillotson

Lydia Belle Yazel was born in Greene county, Wisconsin February 1, 1851. When a child of 7 years she came with her parents to Iowa where she has since resided. As a child she lived in Polk county, but later came to Story county where she has since lived. She was untied in marriage to Wm. Tillotson who preceded her in death January 25, 1900 or 15 years ago.

To this union were born 11 children, all of whom are living but one that died in infancy and seven of whom are present at the funeral. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother who also are present.

She died August 28, 1915 at her home in Nevada aged 64 years, 6 months and 27 days. She had been a great sufferer and the end was not unexpected and those who mourn her loss will always remember her patience in bearing her pain and sickness.

Her funeral was conducted Monday by Rev. Birdie V. Batchelor. Interment was in her Center Grove cemetery where the husband and child are buried.
