Harold Hickman
Harold the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Payne Hickman died at their home in Ames Sunday, February 12, 1915 aged 1 year and about 8 months. Spinal meningitis was the cause of death. Mr. and Mrs. Hickman lived in this vicinity until about three years ago when they moved to Nevada after the fire which destroyed their home and family of three little children. Then little Harold came to cheer and help heal the sorrowing hearts of his parents, and now they are bereft again; which seems almost more than they can bear. he was an unusually bright and attractive little boy and won many friends during his life. Many relatives an friends extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents.
Funeral services were held here today at 10 a. m. at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Hanson pastor of the Dalton church assisted by Rev. Johnson. Interment to be made at Iowa Center.
