Obituary of Torkel Peterson.

Torkel Peterson was born in Skaanevig, Norway, January 27th 1877, a son of Lars and Julia Peterson. He immigrated with his parents to America in 1880. He was baptized in Norway and confirmed in Fieldberg congregation Nov. 15, 1891. He was married to Mary Olson March 29th 1902. This marriage was blessed with two children, Orville and Gladys. Mrs. Peterson died in 1907, Mr. Peterson married again Feb. 10th 1909, this time to Edna Fellingham [Tellingham?], a widow of Mr. Robert Blythe. This marriage was blessed with three children Merroll, Theron and Marie. Mr. Peterson has been very sick the last six months. He died Feb. 6, 1915 at his home two miles west of Kelley at the age of 38 years and 10 days. The funeral was conducted by his pastor Rev. P. C. Birkelo Wednesday February 20 at 11 o'clock at the house and two o'clock at Fieldberg church. He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, 4 children, father, step mother, two brothers and a sister.
