Friends here received the sac news of the death of Mrs. Cora Porter-Allen which occurred at the home of her parents in Champaign, Ill. December 25, 1916. As Miss Porter she lived here with her brothers Luther and Arthur several years ago. From here she returned to her parental home at Champaign, Ill. and soon after was united in marriage to Mr. Allen. For some time Mr. and Mrs. Allen lived at Kamrar, Iowa, but more recently they moved to Minnesota. Mrs. Allen has been in poor health for about two years. She returned to her parental home this fall hoping to recuperate and be able to resume her care of her home on their farm in Minnesota next spring. Death seems to have come quite suddenly. Mrs. Allen has many friends here who are grieved by her untimely death and extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband, three year old daughter and parents.
