OBITUARY

MRS. FRANK J. WESTERING

Nellie Moore Westering, born in Nevada, Sept. 21, 1892, died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Moore of Nevada at 1:30 p. m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 1916. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moore, had always lived here and was known as a sweet lovable girl. From the public school here she went to Omaha for business course and after she graduated there she was employed in the law office of C. H. Hall. She was married April 12, 1916 to Frank J. Westering and not long after went west for a time to regain her health. However she was not destined to recover and death came as stated. Since the age of eleven years, Nellie had been a member of the Central Presbyterian church and her funeral was held at the church Monday afternoon, Rev. J. G. Leitch having charge. Floral offerings were many and beautiful. The pall bearers were the young men who had been her classmates in the public school. Besides her husband and parents Mrs. Westering leaves to mourn her early death, two brothers, Darrel Moore of Sioux City and Harry Moore of Moulton, two sisters, Mrs. Leo Jones of Nevada and Miss Eva, youngest of the sisters, who is at home. Among those from a distance who came to attend the funeral were Mr. Westering's mother Mrs. John Westering and his brothers Clarence and Ernest all of Lake City, G. M. Staring of Jefferson an uncle of Mrs. Westering, Mrs. Frank Boynton and daughter Dorothy of Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Jennings of Marshalltown.

Mr. Westering and Mr. and Mrs. Moore desire to express their grateful appreciation of the service and sympathy of friends during the sickness and death of the beloved wife and daughter. Especially they thank the dear girl friends who remembered her through the long weeks of her sickness and at the close.
