Death of Mrs. J. W. McCord

Wife and Mother Was Called by Death

Mrs. Jacob W. McCord died at her home near Collins early Saturday morning and the funeral was held at the United Evangelican Church at Iowa Center Sunday afternoon at 2:00, after which interment was in Woodland cemetery of that place.

Mrs. McCord had been a sufferer from dropsey and indred trouble for a year and a half and had been very critically ill for a week or so before her death. Her husband and five children, besides other relatives were with her at the time of her death.

Mrs. McCord's maiden name was Martha Dunahoo and she had lived in that neighborhood from girlhood. She was married to Jacob McCord about forty years ago and to them were born five children, all of whom, with the husband and father are left to mourn her death. The children, are Charles McCord who lives nearby the family home, Mrs. E. J. Brouhard of near Colo, Leo McCord of Kossouth county, Mrs. Olive Shickell of near Collins and Clyde McCord, who made his home with his parents.

Besides these she leaves one sister and two brothers, they being Mrs. Ella Whitinger of Indiana, J. F. and M. R. Dunahoo of Maxwell and Sam Dunahoo of near this city. Both parents died some time ago.
