OBITUARY

SAMUEL S. STATLER

Samuel S. Statler, for nearly sixty years a resident of Nevada and one of its best known and most esteemed citizens, die early Monday morning at the home in this city of his son Ed, aged 85 years, 9 months and 19 days. Death came to him peacefully in his sleep; for he had been up and down stairs in the mid hours of the night, and had been made comfortable in his bed and so left by his son later. In the morning he was dead. His daughters Mrs. Flach and Miss Margaret Statler, with the husband of the former, are here for the funeral; but the son Ferdinand will not be able to be here.

The funeral will be conducted from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Statler Wednesday, two-thirty o'clock. More extended notice of Mr. Statler's life and large share in the affairs of this community will be made in our next issue.
