Colo man died Friday

Fred Blickensderfer, 91, Colo, died Friday at 10:20 a.m. at the Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Born in Washington, he was a resident of Story County for the past 60 years. He was retired from farming. He had been a member of the Colo Methodist Church for the past 50 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Colo Methodist Church with the Rev. Duane Manning and the Rev. M. C. Shupe officiating. Burial will be in Colo Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, Sunday afternoon and evening.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, a son, his parents and a sister.

He is survived by a son, Glen, Colo; fire daughters, Mrs. Herman Greiner, 1425 Stafford Ave, Mrs. C. C. Monaghan, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. William Shickell and Mrs. C. S. Swanson, Nevada and Mrs. Albert Haas, 920 Douglas Ave,; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchaild; a great-great grandchild and a sister Mrs. Bertha Dunbar, Keota.

A memorial fund has been established.
