FORMER NEVADA WOMAN EXPIRES
Mrs. Estella Cook, the widow of Dr. Perdy Cook, a physician in Nevada back in the early seventies died on Friday at the State Hospital at Clarinda where she had been confined for the past year or more. The funeral will be held from the Methodist Episcopal tomorrow afternoon and the interment in the family lot in Nevada cemetery.
Mrs. Cook will be remembered by the older residents who were also acquainted with her late husband. She left here soon after his death and has not been back to speak of since. She leaves one son and one daughter, the son, being Frank Cook of Des Moines and the daughter Mrs. Agnes Paddock who is located somewhere in the West.

OBITUARY
ESTELLA YORK COOK
Estella York was born in Henry county, Iowa on July 14, 1843. She was married in the same county to Dr. Percy Cook*. They moved to Marshalltown and then to Nevada in early fifties. The husband died in 1876. Mrs. Cook lived here in Nevada until a severe spell of sickness brought on mental trouble an she was taken to the hospital at Clarinda where she died March 2, 1918. Two children, Mrs. Agnes Paddock of Union, Oregon and Frank Cook of Des Moines survive her.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Estella (York) Cook, daughter of Joseph York and Rhoda Morris, is listed in early census records in Henry County, Iowa as Esther York. Her marriage record lists her as Esther York marrying Rudy Cook (should be Purdy Cook) on 18 February 1856 in Henry County, Iowa.
