Hold Rites at Rodman For Former Resident Of Fernald Community

Fernald, Sept. 22--Funeral services for Morris Kuhn, 78, former Story county resident, were held Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Baptist church in Rodman.

Morris Andrew Kuhn, son of Henry Edward and Elzina Apple Kuhn, was born Jan. 11, 1869, on a farm east of Fernald where he grew to manhood. On Dec. 31, 1902, he married Nellie Van Horn, also a resident of the Fernald community, and to this union three children were born, one of whom preceded him in death. Following his marriage, he moved to Rodman and lived in that vicinity until his death.

Surviving him are his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Glenn Barber of Rodman, his son, Roscoe Kuhn of Emmettsburg; three grandchildren; two brothers, Frank of Nevada, Jesse of Mission, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Etta McKowen of Lake Crystal, Minn., Mrs. Ellen Kline of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Alvira Apple of Santa Monica, Calif., and Mrs. Ina Picht of Fernald.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

Attending the funeral from Fernald were Mrs. Ina Picht and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Picht.
