Early Day Resident Died in Chicago

Mrs. Rose A. Tornblom, 85, early day resident of Nevada died Monday, October 12, at the home of her daughter Mrs. R. M. Mitchell, 7521 Ridge Boulevarde, Chicago, according to word reaching the Evening Journal. Death came after 9 days illness following a paralytic stroke.

Mrs. Tornblom was the widow of the late Alfred L. Tornblom who was a resident of Nevada from 1870 until 1885, during which time he was engaged in the drug business.

The family is remembered by some of the older residents of Nevada.

They are survived by their daughter Mrs. R. M. Mitchell, grandsons H. L. McFarlan and M. J. Mitchell and great granddaughter Patricia McFarlan.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The daughter of Alfred and Rose A. (Gough) Tornblom was Olive Tornblom. Olive married (1) Archie A. McFarlan on 19 January 1886 in Boone County, Iowa. Archie McFarlan died 9 August 1889 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Olive married (2) Robert M. Mitchell on 14 May 1895 in Boone County, Iowa.
