Kersey Funeral Services Held This Afternoon

Funeral service for Frank Kersey, 54, who was found dead as a result of a heart attack brought on by shock in connection with the severe electrical storm Tuesday night, near the home of his sister Mrs. C. A. Talley in Ames, were held this afternoon at the Adams Funeral home in Ames, followed by interment in the Nevada cemetery.

Frank Henry Kersey, a native of Milford township, was born July 21, 1876, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kersey. He had lived practically all of his life in Story county, much of it in Milford township.

At the age of 25 he was converted and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Nevada and had continued in that faith.

He is survived by four sisters and three brothers. The sisters are Mrs. C. A. Talley of Ames, Mrs. John Ripkey of Milford, Mrs. Fannie Nitcher of Toledo and Mrs. May Gear of Portland, Oregon, while the brothers are William Kersey of Milford, Fred Kersey of Nevada and Walter Kersey of Des Moines. He also leaves a number of other relatives and wide circle of friends.
