Oliver Sampson died Saturday at the home of his son, Chris Sampson in Ames at the age of 82 years. He had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. R. L. Haugland west of town and had gone to visit his son in Ames a few days when he was stricken. The Sampson family made their home on a farm southwest of here for a number of years. Since the death of his wife several years ago he has made his home with his children. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 in the St. Petri church. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
