Mrs. Holveck Dead

Another death was that of Mrs. Charles N. Holveck, 39, beloved wife and mother of the community which occurred at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Thursday evening at 7:00. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Evangelical church, after which interment will be in the Zearing cemetery.

Mrs. Holveck, who as a girl was Grace Hoberland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoberland, was born in Marshalltown, March 29, 1893. She came to Zearing with her parents as a small girl and was raised in this neighborhood. Here she was married October 4, 1911 to Charles N. Holveck, who with her son Forest and daughters, Opal and Mildred survive her.

She was about 16 years of age when she became identified with the Evangelical church and since that time has been an active worker in the various branches of religious activities. For the past eight years she had been a teacher in the primary department of the Sunday school. Especially had she taken a personal interesting in young people and it was among these that she was so well beloved.

Besides her church work she had been active in Royal Neighbor circles and the social affairs of the community, besides being a most devoted wife and mother.
