PIONEER WOMAN DEAD AT COLLINS

MRS. MARGARET SIGNS* DIED LAST NIGHT AT HER HOME AT THAT PLACE

Collins, March 29--Mrs. Margaret Signs, 63, long-time resident of this community died at her home here Monday night about 10:30.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Collins, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. John Adamson of the Methodist Episcopal church in charge.

Mrs. Signs, born Margaret Wiley*, was the eldest of the five children of Mr. and Mrs. James Wiley. She grew to womanhood in that neighborhood and was married to John Signs September 5, 1886.

Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Signs. Maude died at the age of 3 years and Clara has been at home with the parents.

She leaves besides her husband and one daughter, her sisters Mrs. Lee Signs of Ira, Mrs. Dennis Dodd of Collins and Mrs. Charles Ferguson of Lowrey City, Mo. She also leaves a number of nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Signs was a long-time resident of the Collins community and was an active member of the Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a woman held in much respect by the community and her death will be deeply mourned by the family and friends.
