W. H. Van Duzer Of Ames Is Dead
William H. Van Duzer, 59, of 818 Seventh St., died unexpectedly Friday about 10 p.m. at his home.
Born at Stuart he came to Ames in 1900. He had worked at Iowa State College until he retired April 1.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ava Marie Lambert of Portales, N.M.; two sisters Mrs. Pearl France of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Olla Scott of Austin, Minn.; a brother, Fred, of Hot Springs, S. D. and two grandchildren. His wife, Mae, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home. The Rev. W. Murray Allan, pastor of the First Congregational Church will officiate. Burial is to be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
