MRS. HANSON DIED AT STORY CITY HOME
WAS SISTER OF OLE ROE, FORMER WELL-KNOWN STORY COUNTY MAN

Story City, Feb. 16--Mrs. Gus Hanson, 76, died at her home Monday night at 10 o'clock, from Bright's disease.Mrs. Hanson was a native of Norway, Europe, where she was born on Washington's birthday, February 22, 1856. Her maiden name was Johanna Roe. She came to America with her parents and they lived on a farm southeast of Roland. After her marriage to Mr. Hanson they located on a farm southwest of Story City, where they lived until about 29 years ago when they moved into Story City.
Mr. Hanson died about five years ago. She leaves 7 sons and one daughter. The sons are Ole, Augustine, Albert, Corneillius, Clarence, Sam and Martin and the daughter is Mrs. Albert Johnson. One daughter died in infancy.
Other relatives are Ole O. Roe, a brother of Des Moines, and Mrs. E. M. Olson and Anna Roe of Story City and Mrs. Christine Hines of Elkton, Minn., all sisters.
