Mrs. Lars Raymond died Thursday, February 17, 1898, at her home in Milford township, Story county, after a ten day's illness with pneumonia. She was 43 years of age and the mother of none children, the oldest of whom, Mrs. Ove O. Anderson, died last May in Buena Vista county. The other eight are living, seven of them under age and one them a little tot born after the death of his father four years ago. Lars Raymond was one the strong men of the county, and his death followed so soon by that of his wife, and both in the years of their active usefulness, leaves a large family well provided with this world's goods, but sadly in need of parental care.
