THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 30, 2005.

Cora V. Hibner, 75, of Ames died Tuesday, June 28, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at North Grand Church of Christ with the Rev. Jim Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery in Ames.

Cora V. Hibner was born to Frank and Mary (Stiller) Waters Aug.28, 1929, in Nora Springs. She attended country school and graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1948. She married Jim L. Hibner Sept.13, 1949. They have lived in the Ames area since 1960 and are members of North Grand Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Jim L. Hibner of Ames; one son, Jimmy F. (Paula) Hibner of Ames; two brothers, Charley (Ruth) Waters of Nora Springs and Junior (Lorie) Waters of Plymouth; one sister-in-law, Gladys Waters of Rockford; a very good friend, Esther Anderson of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shari; two brothers, Clayton and Eli Waters; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Waters and Donna Hibner Waters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 1, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Memorial contributions may be directed to North Grand Church of Christ.
