MISS ELVA FERNER DIED LAST NIGHT

FUNERAL SERVICES AT HOME FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:00

Miss Elva Ferner, 65, died a the family home 107 Lincoln avenue, Wednesday night after an illness covering a period of several months.

Born in Nevada, the younger daughter of James D. and Virginia Ferner, October 11, 1871, she had lived in this city throughout her entire life.

She graduated from the Nevada high school with the class of 1889, other members of the class being Mayme Allen-Ambrose still living in Nevada and Linna Stone-Jackson, Lena Allen and May White, all deceased.

For three years following her graduation from the Nevada schools she taught in the third grade. Following her teaching she entered the postoffice as an assistant under her father and later spent twelve years in the office under her brother-in-law Fred C. McCall.

Since that time she spent the time in the home with her mother, Mrs. Virginia Ferner.

She had been active in the Methodist church of which she had been a lifelong member, was interested in club work and was a charter member of Chapter A M P.E.O.

She leaves her mother, Mrs. Virginia Ferner, her sister, Mrs. Fred C. McCall; a nephew, Thomas C. McCall and a niece, Mrs. Fredric T. Mills, the latter of Chicago.

The funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:00 and interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.
