Funeral Services for Blackwood Child

Special to the Journal:
Huxley, Oct. 8--Funeral services for John Newton Blackwood of Cambridge were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blackwood on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock The service opened with singing part of the hymn, "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Dr. J. N. Andersen of Huxley spoke on the words which had been used at his baptism, "Suffer The Little Children To Come Unto Me." Hymn, "Nearer My God to Thee." Interment was in the Fjeldberg cemetery near Huxley.

John Newton Blackwood was born March 22, 1935, and died Friday, Oct. 1, 1935, at the age of 6 months and 9 days. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann. He is survived by his parents and two sisters, Anna Margaret, Age 5, and Frances Mae age 19 months.
