Funeral Services for Mrs. Erick Ihle

Slater, Oct. 9--Funeral services for Mrs. Erick Ihle were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and two o'clock at the Bethlehem church. The services were in charge of her pastor, Rev. E. R. Rorem, assisted by Rev. Peder Buland of Cambridge and Rev. Thomas Sandeno from Geddes, South Dakota.

The many beautiful floral offerings were care for by Misses Josei Ryg and Lett Houge. The pall bearers were: Elmer Ryg, Clarence Walker, Ed and Raymond Rimathe, Gerhard and Nels Vespestad. Two duets "In the Garden" and "God Will Take Care of You" were sung by Home and Arlene Lewis.

A Norwegian song "O Herre Til Hvem Skal Vi Do Gaa Hen." Rev. Rorem and Rev. Sandeno both spoke in the English language and Rev. Buland in the Norwegian language.

Bertha M. Sandeno was born in Sandeno, Norway, August 16th, 1872 and died at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, September 30th at the age of 63 years, one month and 14 days.

Her parents were Gunnar and Kari Sandeno. She was baptized and confirmed at Sandeno in Norway.

She came to America in July, 1909 and made her home with her uncle at Gordner, Illinois until February 19, 1913, when she was united in marriage to Erick Ihle.

Mr. and Mrs. Ihle have since that time made their home on a farm near Slater.

Mrs. Ihle is survived by her husband; one brother, Rev. Thomas Sandeno from South Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Ness of Minneapolis, Mrs. Nils Bjildi, the wife of Rev. Bjildi of Dodts, Alberta, Canada and Marie Sandeno in Sandeno, Norway.

All were present at the services with the exception of the latter sister, who lives in Norway.

The Bethlehem Ladies Aid of which Mrs. Ihle was a member, presented a gift of money to the Missions in her memory. Money was also given to the Missions in her memory by groups of friends and relatives.
