Former Story County Man Buried Today in Kossouth County*
George Airhart, longtime resident of Story county, died at his home at Whittemore, late Saturday and funeral services were held there this afternoon, followed by interment in the cemetery at West Bend.
Mrs. R. E. Fry, a daughter of Mr. Airhart, accompanied by her husband, are at Whittemore today to attend the funeral rites.
Mr. Airhart lived as a boy on a farm northwest of Nevada. Reaching his maturity he was first married to Miss Kate Pool, daughter of a pioneer Richland township family.
After iving upon a farm for a time they moved to Zearing, where Mr. Airhart conducted a barber shop and together they conducted a lunch room.
Three children were born to them and survive the parents. They are Clyde Airhart of near Kersett, Mrs. R. E. Fry of Nevada and Mrs. S. A. Savage of Whittemore.
After the death of the first wife Mr. Airhart married a Mrs. King [born Mary Caroline "Carrie" Hardy] in Nevada and to them three children were born and with her survive the father. They are Myrtle, Merril and Ethel.
For the past many years Mr. Airhart and family had lived at Whittemore where he had lived at Whittemore where he had been engaged in business.
