The death of Miss Lizzie Quinn, 76, of Des Moines, which occurred in Mercy hospital in Des Moines last Friday after a brief illness, marked the passing of a member of a former well-known east Story county family. The deceased had been in the rooming house business in Des Moines for many years. Burial would have been in the Catholic cemetery in Nevada by the side of her parents and only brother, but the blocked highways during the week prevented. This caused the family to bury her in Kansas City where the two remaining sisters, Mrs. Ella Williams and Miss Kitty Quinn have been residents for several years and where Miss Mary Quinn, a twin sister of the deceased and another sister are buried.
