TRAGIC DEATH OF M'CONNELL CHILD

CHILD POISONED BY MEDICINAL TABLETS FOUND IN HOME

Mr. and Mrs. Asas McConnell of Nevada, have received word of the tragic death of their little granddaughter, 18-months old Alice Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice "Teet" McConnell.

The child died on Monday while of the way to the Marine hospital after having swallowed some medicinal tablets that she had managed to get hold of, while the mother was busy about her work.

The Mare Island hospital where the father, who is in the navy, works as a pharmacists mate, sent out a doctor and ambulance and everything done to sake the life of the little one, but in vain.

The father is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa McConnell who live over 1030 Main street, and has been in the navy for a number of years. He is now stationed in the Marine hospital at Mare Island, San Francisco.
