From Nevada Representative November 11, 1910 (page 8)
Lewis Houge, who was operated on some time ago at the Methodist Hospital at Des Moines for abcess of the liver, died early Wednesday morning and was brought to Huxley where funeral services will be held today. Mr. Houge was taken sick in the summer while he was running the local livery barn in company with his cousin, Helmer Houge. He took treatment at a sanitarium in Des Moines which seemed to do him a great deal of good. After his return home he was taken sick again and was removed to the hospital where he remained until his death.
