Funeral services were held March 24 from the Cambridge Methodist Church for Effie Mae Catron, who died March 21. The Rev. Dale Ellsworth officiated at the services. Burial was in the Cambridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Catron was born April 5, 1892 at Iberia, Mo. She was married Nov. 11, 1917 to Mannassa Catron and moved to Cambridge in 1937 from McCallsburg. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and belonged to the WSCS of the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Catron was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters and a son.
Survivors include a son, James Lee Catron, Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Essie Marie George of Cambridge, Mrs. Norma Jean Van Horn, Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Clara Mae Graham, Pampa, Tex.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were LaVern Williams, Wilbur Kooyman, Wendell Christopherson, Frank Castor, Kermit Griffith and David Erickson.
