THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 9, 1905, page 4, column 1. "LOCAL EVENTS - George C. Thomas, a prominent Woodward man, who is known to some of our readers, died October 30th. He was a very fine gentleman, a prominent Odd Fellow; an active member of the Methodist church. His loss will be greatly felt by citizens of Woodward, as he was a useful man."
