THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, August 19, 1926, page 1, column 6. "P. J. SUTTER DIED MONDAY. - P. J. Sutter, former resident of the Maxwell vicinity, passed away Monday morning at 10 o'clock at his home in Kelley, aged sixty-five years. Mr. Sutter has been ailing for about four years and for the past year has been in a serious condition, practically helpless since their removal to Kelley early in the winter. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 o'clock from the Maxwell Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. Zink, of Ankeny, with burial in the Maxwell cemetery."

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, August 26, 1926, page 1, column 5. "PERCIVAL J. SUTTER. - Percival J. Sutter was born in Lee county, Ill., Mar 12, 1861, and died at his home in Kelley, Iowa, August 16, 1926, aged sixty-five years, three months and four days. In 1875, at the age of fourteen, he came with his parents to Iowa, settling on a farm three miles southwest of Ames, where he spent his early manhood. January 25, 1882 he was united in marriage to Allie Reitz. To this union six children were born, one child dying in infancy. Those who survive are: Cora E. Frazer, of Kelley: Lottie V. Allen, of Dument; Harvey L., of Napier; Fred, of Allison and Ralph P. of Kelley, all of whom were present at the funeral. There are also left to mourn their loss a loving wife, three brothers, four sisters and seventeen grandchildren. He united with the Church of the Brethren in January 1884. Was elected to the deacon's office in 1890, to the ministry in 1895 and lived a faithful Christian life to the time of his death. He was a devoted husband and father, and theirs was a hospitable home. The happiest moments of his life were when visited by his children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Robert Sink, of Ankeny, from the local Brethren church, with interment in the Maxwell cemetery." "Card of Thanks. - To all the kind friends and neighbors, whose services were so kindly tendered during the illness and death of our husband and father, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation. Mrs. Allie Sutter and Children."
