Mrs. Asa Ellison died on the 18th at Mingo. She had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. O. B. Fuller since the 1st of May. She was born in Virginia in 1813, being nearly 83 years old. She, with her husband and family, came to this country in 1856, where she lived until death called her. Her husband died about 12 years ago; since then she has lived with her children. She was the mother of ten children, all living but one--of whom four attended her remains to the grave, Mrs. Mary McPherson, Mrs. Sarah See of Des Moines, Mrs. O. B. Fuller of Mingo, and Milburn Ellison of this place. She has been a member of the Methodist church for a good many years. Mr. Heckathorne, of Mingo, preached the funeral sermon. He was on this circuit about 18 years ago, belonging then to the Evangelical Association.
