Mrs. Anna Opstwedt* Died at Home In Roland Saturday
Roland, March 3--Mrs. Anna Fjedhaugen Opstwedt* died at her home here Saturday evening at 9:30, fom complications due to her age.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, with prayer at the home at 1:30 an the funeral at Salem Lutheran church at 2:00, with her pastor Rev. Olav Holen in charge.
The body will be taken to Slater for burial by the side of her husband Torris Opstwedt*, who died in 1912.
One of a family of 13 children, she was born in Norway, Europe, December 11, 1857 an came to America with her parents when a girl of ten years. They settled first in Illinois but later came on out to Story county in Iowa.
It was here that she married to Torris Opstwedt*, a Civil war veteran, 1895. They lived for some time in the Slater neighborhood, but came to Roland about 25 years ago.
She was a sister of the late James H. Larson, long a prominent citizen and business man of Roland.
She leaves a sister, Mrs. Gertie Olson of St. James, Minn., a half sister Mrs. Thompson and two half brothers Lewis and Cornelius Larson of North Dakota.
