THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 2, 1899, page 5, column 2. "Local Notes - Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Addison received a telegram Tuesday morning announcing the dying condition of her mother, Mrs. Sherwood, of Lanark, Ill., and they departed on the evening passenger for that place. While in waiting for the train a second message came bearing the sad news that the spirit had taken its flight. Mr. and Mrs. Addison and family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement."
