DEATHS
Dennis Ingram
Funeral services for Dennis Ingram, age 79, were held from the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge Wednesday, Oct. 24 with the Rev. Tom Dettmer officiating. Mr. Ingram passed away at his home in Cambridge, Sunday, Oct. 21.
Mrs. Howard Erickson sang "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art" accompanied on the organ by Mrs. D. E. Ryerson.
Casket bearers were Clifford Ingram Jr.; Elvyn Ingram, Myron Ingram, Melvin Ingram, Wesley Ingram and L.D. Ramey.
Burial in the Fjeldberg cemetery at Huxley.
Dennis Ingram, son of Joseph and Julia Ingram, was born June 1, 1894, on a farm near Mt. Ayr. His early life was spent in Ringghold and Decatur counties in Iowa.
He was married to Pearl Dean at Leon, Dec. 12, 1917. He was in business in the Huxley and Cambridge communities for 40 years.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Fjeldberg Church at Huxley in 1939. His membership was later transferred to the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge where he was a faithful member and deacon on the church board.
Surviving are his wife Pearl, two sons, Wayne of Lincoln, Nebr. and Glenn of Ames; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
