Services for area deaths

NELLIE COXWORTH

Mrs. Nellie Coxworth, 89, died Saturday morning at the Oak Park Manor Nursing Home where she had been for the past 5 years. She had been a resident of Nevada for the past 50 years.

She was born May 24, 1884 at Marshalltown to Patrick and Kathryn Byrnes and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be held from St. Patrick's Catholic Church Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Father Franz Lohberg officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Marshalltown. Rosary services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home tonight at 7:30.

She is survived by 4 step daughters, Mrs. Leota Hogan of Marengo, Iowa, Mrs. Lillian George of Nevada, Mrs. Cordelia Smith of LaMesa, California, Mrs. Lou Timmons, of Fern Park, Florida; and one sister, Mrs. Sue Williams of Santa Barbara, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, 11 sisters, and her husband William, sho died in 1950.

The body will not be viewed.
