Area Deaths

MATT VESPESTAD

Services will be held Wednesday in Kansas City, Kansas for Matt Vespestad, 72, of Overland Park, Kansas, and recently from rural Cambridge. He died Saturday evening in Arkansas.

Born in the country of Norway, December 2, 1900, to parents Lars and Karen Vespestad, he came to the United States when he was 5 months old.

Surviving are his wife, Edith, three brothers, Gehard of Slater, Nels of Kelley and Chris of Jewell; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Rowe and Elizabeth Vespestad both of Williams, and Kathryn Gordon of Webster City. He also is survived by six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and two children.
