DEATHS

ALFRED HAMBLY*

Alfred P. Hambly* was born Jan. 19, 1884 near St. Paul, Minn. and died at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on March 17, 1966 after a three week illness. He was 82 years, one month and 26 days old.

In 1910 he came to Colo and on May 31, 1922 was married to Martha May Cozzens, who with his eight children survive. Harlan of Albion, Ill., Carlton of Nevada, Iowa, Norris of Tuslin, Calif., Martha Ferguson of Aurora, Colo., Marilyn Vanderlan of Charles City, Iowa, Ardeth Dorris of Denver, Colo. and Jane Heintz of Rockwell, Iowa. Also two brothers Nate {Jahnke*] and Joy [Jahnke*] of Weyburn, Sask., Canada and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Reekie of Antioch, Ill. He leaves 16 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held in the Colo EUB Church on Saturday afternoon with Rev. F. A. Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Colo Cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Alfred Pearl Jahnke changed his name to Hambly about 1900. The two brothers mentioned, Nathaniel "Nate" and Joy, did not and are buried in Saskatchewan as Jahnke.
