Stanley Fincham Is Dead At Age of 80; Services Thursday

Stanley R. Fincham, Rt. 1, Nevada, died at his home suddenly at noon Monday. He was 80 years of age.

Fincham was changing the tires on his car when he was stricken.

A native of McClain County, Illinois, he was born March 24, 1886 to Robert and Hester Fincham. He was married to Ellen Christensen January 9, 1917 in Fergus Falls, Minn.

A retired farmer, Fincham has lived in Story County for 50 years.

He was a member of the E.U.B. Church and of the IOOF Lodge.

Survivors include his wife Ellen; one son, Robert Fincham of Bend, Oregon; six daughters, Mrs. J.W. Giles of Marshalltown, Mrs. C.C. Parlova of Clelum, Wash., Mrs. Robert Ray of Bend, Oregon, Mrs. George Johnson of Ames, Mrs. L.A. Scheid of Ames and Mrs. G.F. Sawyer of Spencer, Ia., three brothers, Lester of McCallsburg, Clarence of Rockford, Ill. and Lloyd of Macomb, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary O'Neil of Des Moines, Mrs. Lottie Goodnow of Colo and Mrs. Leona Larson of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2 with the Rev. Gerald Sawyer of Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Richland Township.
