THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, December 17, 1925, page 1, column 5. “MRS. JULIETTE PEARSON – Mrs. Juliette Pearson, who had been in ill health of the past two or three years, passed away at her home here last Thursday night. A few days prior to her death her condition became serious, with acute suffering until the end, which came as a relief to the patient sufferer. Juliette, daughter of David and Emily Gibson, was born May 2, 1852, in Noble county, Indiana, and departed this life December 10, 1925, at her home in Maxwell, Iowa, at the age of seventy-three years, seven months and eight days. In 1864 she moved with her parents to Peoria City, Iowa, the most of her life being spent in this community, where she was well and favorably known. On September 19, 1869, she was united in holy wedlock to Joseph R. Pearson. To this happy union were born two children, Delilah and David. On August 31, 1879, the messenger of death entered the home and called from her side her life companion. While a young girl she was converted and united with the Methodist Protestant church at Peoria City, Iowa. After moving to Maxwell, Mrs. Pearson transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church, where she remained a faithful Christian until the Heavenly Father called her to her heavenly reward. Her parents, four brothers, three sisters and her husband having preceded her in death, there remains to mourn her departure one daughter, Mrs. Delilah Scott; one son, David; two granddaughters, Gladys and Mildred Scott; two brothers, Sam and Elsworth Gibson; and one sister, Mrs. Leuwreatha Young, all of Maxwell; also other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Maxwell, Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. D. Robinson, assisted by Revs. W. S. Kight and DeLoss Marken.
