THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, October 26, 1899, page 1. "NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS - PEORIA CITY. It is too true that while some rejoice others mourn and weep, as on the 17th occurred the funeral, at this place, of the two year old invalid daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ozmun. The sermon was preached by Rev. Keofold, the M. P. minister at Collins. His text was, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not." His subject was one of them.. He could only recommend the parents to their little sufferer's God, who so tenderly kept her in the home two short years. She was a care and a comfort. Her innocence in the home, her helplessness and dependence upon them only endeared her to them the more. After those sad rites were over, tender hands took charge of the lifeless little body and bore it with tender care to the Peoria cemetery and laid all that was mortal of the loved darling child to rest with its many kindred till the last loud trumpet shall awake the great and small. At the last day she will have a part in the first resurrection. Peace to her ashes. Kitty Wells."
