THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 28, 1971, page 1, column 3. “BERTHA OZMUN – Mrs. Bertha Viola Ozmun, 90, of Collins, died at the Story County Hospital on Saturday Jan. 23. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 1:30 p.m., in the Collins Christian Church, with Rev. David Shaeffer officiating. The music was furnished by Virginia Fertig and Wanda Carlson. The floral arrangements were in charge of Doris Duesbury and Maude Novinger. Casket bearers were Elmer Smith, Jim Maxwell, Frank Stratton, Rollo Beavers, Bill Huntrods and Frank Novinger. Interment was in the Peoria Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, Horace Ozmun of Ames and David Ozmun of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Taylor of Collins, six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one sister, Lena Renfeldt.”
