Area Deaths

Mrs. Daisy Laughlin

Mrs. Carl (Daisy) Laughlin, 54, a former Collins resident, died Sunday, August 13, at the Marshalltown Hospital. Services will be held Wednesday, August 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Collins United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.

Mrs. Laughlin, who resided in Marshalltown at the time of her death, was born May 13, 1924 in Jasper Co., Iowa. She is the daughter of Fred and Lena Renfeldt. She was married to Carl Laughlin November 6, 1943, in Long Beach, Calif.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lena Renfeldt, Auburn, Calif., five children, Linda McKellvey, Hampton, Iowa; Barbara Ray, Red Oaks, Iowa; John of Marshalltown; Scott, Marshalltown; and Fred of Knoxville, Iowa.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and sisters Orpha Cattnach, Castro Valley, Calif.; Jean Rasmussen, Auburn, Calif.; and David Renfeldt, Ames.

She was raised and educated in Collins. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Pursel-David Funeral Home of Marshalltown.
