Sept. 5, 1909, to Dec. 23, 2003

Carol E. Lee, 94, of Maxwell died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at his home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1909, in Cambridge to John and Maude (Harrison) Lee. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1929. He married Margaret McHone on Nov. 8, 1939, in Maxwell. He enjoyed farming all of his life. He retired and moved into Maxwell in 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of Maxwell; two sons, John (and Rosemary) Lee and Thomas (and Susan) Lee; two daughters, Carole Ann (and Garey) Smith and Mary Jo (and Alan) Wilson, all of Maxwell; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LaVaughn Wells of Ames and Patricia Holsteen of Lancaster, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gayle Lee, George Wayne Lee and Wallace Dean Lee.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with the Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Burial was in the Cambridge Cemetery. Bacon Funeral Home, Maxwell, handled arrangements.
