Mabel Teig
Funeral services for Mabel Teig, 67, of rural Story City, were held in Elim Lutheran Church, Randall, Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. with Pastor A. J. Bringle officiating.
Delbert Quam was soloist and Miss Louise Olson, organist. Pallbearers were John Peterson, Reuben Miller, Mervin Teig, Richard Teigland, Herman Hougland and Robert Ericson. Burial was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Randall.
Mabel Nora Teig, daughter of Chris and Malinda Teig was born Nov. 22, 1905 on the home farm east of Randall. She passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21 at East Lane Manor, Jewell.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Elim Lutheran Church, Randall.
Mabel taught school for a number of years in the Randall, Carlisle and Lime Springs schools until due to ill health was forced to retire.
She is survived by four brothers and two sister Mrs. Arnold T. (Ruth) Ericson, route 2, Benjamin Teig and Walter Teig, route 1, all of Story City, Mrs. Byron (Selma) Johnson of Boone and Martin Teig and Carl Teig, both of Grand Meadow, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
