Area Deaths

MRS HALLIE LEE MICHAELSON

Mrs. Hallie Lee Michaelson, 84, a former Ames resident, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Wesley Acres Home in Des Moines where she had resided since August of 1969.

Mrs. Michaelson was born Sept. 23, 1888 at Gilbert. She lived most of her life in the Ames area and was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational.

She was married to Walter M. Michaelson on Nov. 24, 1909. He preceded her in death in 1952.

Survivors are one son, Marion L. Michaelson of Royal Oaks, Michigan and one daughter, Ruth Michaelson of San Rafael, California; one sister, Mrs. Eva Templeton of Calvin Manor in Des Moines, two granddaughters and two great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert; two brothers, Ben and Jim, three sisters, Nelle, Blanche and Maude.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Henry A. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
