BABE PASSES AWAY

Motherless Child Died Following a Severe Attack of Pneumonia

Ames, March 1--Rev. F. C. Renier went to Gilbert Sunday where he had charge of the funeral of the small child of Mr. and Mrs. Mooney. The mother died a year ago and child was left in the care of an aunt, Mrs. Craig, at Boone. To get the child out of contact with a number of cases of measles prevalent in Boone, the babe sent to the county. She took sick and after a few days, pneumonia set in and not being strong enough to fight such a battle, soon died. The child was 21 months old. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Gilbert.
