Services Will Be Held in S. City For Kate Gunderson

Kate Gunderson, 92, resident of Story City Bethany Manor, died at the Story City Hospital at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 27. She had been a patient for 12 days.

She was born May 2, 1873 at Sundfjord, Norway. Since coming to the United State, she lived in the Fulton, Ft. Dodge area since 1881. Most of that time was spent in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wallestad of Ft. Dodge where she was employed as a housekeeper.

She entered Story City Bethany Manor in September 1965.

Survivors include several nieces and Mrs. Tina Wallestad, who she raised through childhood.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Bethany Manor. The Rev. Pernie Pederson will officiate. Services will also be held at 2 p.m. form the Calvery Baptist Church in Ft. Dodge with Rev. Pederson and Rev. Marvin Christenson officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Lutheran Cemetery.
