AREA DEATHS
MRS. EMMA DOBBE
Mrs. Emma Dobbe, 74, died early Tuesday morning at the Beverley Manor Convalescent Home in Iowa City. She had been in poor health since May.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Slater with Rev. John Ness officiating. Interment will be in the the Palestine Cemetery near Huxley. The body will lie in state at Riis Funeral Home, Slater, until Thursday noon.
The deceased was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dobbe, who died last April. Survivors are one son Donavan Dobbe of Arlington Heights, one grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Delia Havmen of Clinton, Md. and Mrs. Hilda Hamm of Burbank, Calif., and one brother, Art Christenson* of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Dobbe was born and reared at Story City and her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Christenson*.
