THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 17, 1920**, page 1, column 4. "MRS. THOS . J. MORRISON. - Christena Helena Morrison, wife of Thos. J. Morrison and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Link, Sr., died at her home in Maxwell, Iowa, March 12, 1921**, at the age of forty-four years, eight months and nine days. She was born in Washington township, Polk county, Iowa, July 3, 1876, and was married to Thos. J. Morrison, February 15, 1900. To this union was born two daughter, Blanche and Lelah, both at home, who with the husband and father have cared for her most tenderly through the three years of her sickness and suffering. She was converted and united with the Evangelical church in early life and was faithful to Jesus until He took her home. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and those who knew her best loved her most. Those left to mourn beside her husband and daughters, are her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Link, Sr., of Maxwell; seven brothers and four sisters besides many other relatives and a host of friends. The brothers are; Martin, George, William, John, Leonard and Bert, of Maxwell, and Charles, of Climbing Hill, Iowa. The sisters: Mrs. Anna Cairns, Mrs. Katherine Miller and Mrs. Viola Witmer, of Maxwell, and Mrs. Clara Hawkins, of Collins. "Her life work for us is ended. Her trials forever are o'er; While surrounded by anxious loved ones, She passed to the other shore." Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 14th, at the Church of Christ in Maxwell, conducted by Rev. A. I. Hart, of Holton, Kansas, a former pastor at Collins, Iowa, assisted by Rev. B. A. Gann, of the local church. A choir of eight voices rendered appropriate music. Interment was made in the Maxwell cemetery." "Card of Thanks. - To our neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and death of our beloved wife and mother, we desire to extend our thanks and appreciation. - Thos. J. Morrison and daughters." **Editorial note - the date printed is Marcy 17, 1920, however in different articles on the front-page the year given is 1921.
