THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 14, 1901, page 1. "…named Moore, who was a train dispatcher, had just given orders to an engineer of an east bound freight, east of the switches, the man stepped back from the engine on to the other track in front of the fast mail train going west, and was instantly killed. This is the second man killed here since the first of January…."

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, February 14, 1901, page 1. "Nevada. - …Mr. Moore the man that operates the block house about four miles west of town was run over and killed while the train was switching there, Monday morning."
